• We don't have user accounts or authentication
• We don't have access to your notes or content
• We don't share data with third parties (because we don't have any to share)

How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage

All your notes, folders, tags, and attachments are stored locally on your device using Core Data. This means:

• Your data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync
• We have no servers that store your content
• Your notes are as private as your device

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud sync:

• Your data syncs between your devices using your personal iCloud account
• Apple encrypts your data both in transit and at rest
• We never have access to your iCloud data
• You can disable sync at any time in your device settings

Data Security

Your notes are protected by:

• Device Security: iOS's built-in encryption and security features
• App Sandbox: Consilient operates in iOS's secure sandbox environment
• No Network Access: The app doesn't require internet connectivity for core features

Third-Party Services

Consilient uses no third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools. The only external service that may be involved is Apple's iCloud, and only if you explicitly enable sync.

Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device:

• You have complete control over your data
• You can export your notes at any time
• You can delete the app to remove all local data
• There's no account to close or data to request from us

Children's Privacy

Consilient is safe for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for children's privacy. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever need to update this privacy policy, we'll:

• Post the new policy on this page
• Update the "Last updated" date
• Notify users through an app update if changes are significant

We believe in transparency. While Consilient is not open source, we're committed to being clear about how the app works and how your data is handled.
